Lewis Hamilton Voices Concerns Over Lego Go-Karts at British GP Parade

Following a successful launch at last year's Miami Grand Prix, Lego has once again introduced its distinctive drivers' parade activation at the British Grand Prix. The Danish toy manufacturer crafted 22 individual go-karts, each assembled from 28,000 Lego blocks combined with other components to ensure they are fully driveable. These karts are designed to reach speeds of up to 25 km/h and were developed with input from the 11 teams participating in the race.

Despite the creative engineering and fan engagement potential, seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton has voiced concerns regarding the safety and practicality of these Lego go-karts during the parade lap. His reservations highlight the challenges of integrating unconventional elements into the traditional race weekend format.

The Lego go-kart initiative underscores the sport's ongoing efforts to blend entertainment with innovation, aiming to enhance fan experience while maintaining driver safety. As the British Grand Prix unfolds, all eyes will be on how this novel parade concept performs under race conditions.
