Kakunoshin Ohta Tops Super Formula Fuji Test After IMSA Campaign

Kakunoshin Ohta, currently leading the Super Formula championship, posted the fastest time of 1m22.361s at the recent two-day test held at Fuji Speedway. Driving the Honda-powered Dandelion Racing car, Ohta secured this benchmark late in the second day's afternoon session, demonstrating strong form fresh from his IMSA competition at Watkins Glen.

The test also marked the return of Giuliano Alesi to Super Formula, making his first appearance in the category in three years. This outing provided valuable seat time for Alesi as he reacclimates to the series' high-performance machinery.

The sessions included two short 10-minute runs on the second day, designed to simulate qualifying conditions and allow teams to fine-tune setups ahead of upcoming races. Ohta's performance under these conditions underscores his championship credentials and the competitive edge of the Dandelion Racing outfit.

With the season progressing, this test at Fuji offers critical data and momentum for drivers and teams alike as they prepare for the next rounds in the tightly contested Super Formula championship.
